Blog Day 2- Blog Contest!

 Readers- watch, for today I have a competition for you- a competition that will surely blow your ass sky high.

 

In this video right here, I will tell you exactly what it is about. Listen- cos 10.000 people might just listen to YOU.

 

 

 

 As I promised- I will give you the details here.

 

 But before I start anything- I would like to answer a FAQ:

 Are you really a minor celebrity?-Susan

 

 Susan- the answer to your question is yes. It is quite hard to prove it to you while on another continent, as Omar Bryant is not my real name. In fact, none of the names I have used are my real names.

 

 Other names I used?

 

 Achim Scarlat, John(ny) Atker. That's it- as far as I can remember. I'll give you a clue though- my real name's initials are BD.

 

 I started off online three years ago under the first pseudonym. If you google Achim Scarlat, you will end up over a few childish websites- Aeronautics Association(my first one), a couple of blogs and that's about it. You might think that I'm just saying this, but I have pictures under that name online.

 

 If you go to Youtube and search for achibest, you will stumble over some old, amateur movies I made.

 

 Even though I never really made it into Youtube, I did make it into Amazon and web pages- Just type Achim Scarlat into Amazon Kindle(or John Atker).

 

 That's not all- if you search for www.thesurfersmanual.com, you will end up over a recent commercial website. If you google "on the line festival", you will end up over an online art festival I set up.

 

 There are more, but I won't bother you with that. I hope I proved to you that I am a minor celebrity. In fact- I promise that if I don't upload a video of my speech, the movie will be free. Sounds fair?

 

 Great- now I will tell you something about the contest and what it is all about:

 

 

 First thing first- you will need to subscribe- if you subscribe, I will send you an email(after the number reaches 500) with a link to the rest of the competition.

 

 For the competition, you will have to produce(unless you already have one) an ultrashort horror film- no more than 30 seconds long. You will send it to a certain email adress, where a few people will watch them and choose three great ones. The films will be displayed on this blog.

 

 If you win, I will give you my personal email adress and you just tell me stuff you'd like me to say at my speech(about you or your product, blog, etc.). On one condition though- keep it short and straight.

 

 But hurry- if I don't get over 50 subscribers and 50 participants in five days- no more competition, no more promotion- SO HURRY UP AND GRAB THAT CAMERA!

Blog Day 2- Script Almost Complete!, kids in purgatory?

 I have decided upon a theme- you know how everyone is nostalgic about old movies like Nosferatu, Dracula, etc...

 So the film will be very 20's style- black and white, disturbing characters, 4:3 aspect ratio- you know what I'm talking about. The plot is pretty hard to understand- even for me, so I decided to focus on the characters.

 Three characters exactly-The Lbrn, Jimmy and Edward.

 Jimmy is the protagonist, but he's not another ordinary kid.

 Jimmy was born in the year 1988, along with a twin brother- Edward. They were both happy kids and grew up to form a perfect team.

 In the late 90's, however, Edward started to change- he became very introverted and... creepy. What we do know is that he had joined this neighbourhood club, more like a cult- which had it's own ways of passing time, dressing, etc.

 Edward would often be found around bathrooms, naked, standing all alone in a corner of the room, wearing a hat. As funny as that may sound- it got creepier and creepier, as he would spend hours, sometimes days just staying there.

 After consulting a psychiatrist, it was concluded that Edward was simply going through a pre teen stage? What?

 The family started to realise that something was wrong when the boy's skin suddenly turned pale, and he became very skinny- he looked exactly like a ghost, and refused to walk out of the corners. Edward complained of frequent headaches and would often wear this winter hat, pulling down on it with his two hands.

 It was June when Jimmy couldn't find his brother. In fact, nobody could. All that was found was a note. This note had one word on it- STUTZER.

 It wasn't long until Jimmy found the meaning of it. It is german for blood. In that moment, everybody realised that wherever Edward was, he had contacted leukemia, and was in a terminal stage.

 Like we all know- the 2000's held the infamous "leukemia crysis".

 I will continue the story this afternoon(Romanian time), as I really want to have the script done


 I'm not sure it's going to be as long as I hoped it would- instead of 80 minutes, it's probably gonna end up around half that time.

 Of course, this is not the big idea.

 I'm tired right now- very tired, since I only got two hours of sleep. Enough crying, now- just a few more pages to go and I can end the scripting part.

 After the script is complete(which I will announce), I'll get a few more hours of sleep, then call my crew.

 To be honest and straight in the face- my dedicated(paid) working men and women were at a party last night- while I was terrifying my ass off here with that "lbrn" noise(if you look at the previous post, you'll see what I'm talking about). From a total of nine people, six are half drunk right now... wonder what else happened at the club?;)

 So what I hope to do is have the whole shooting part complete by Sunday(kinda tight, huh?). After that me and two friends of mine, who volunteered are gonna edit all the footage into a complete film- overnight.

 In that night, our "composer" will complete the audio tracks for the movie.

Blog Day 1, 10:16 PM- Update

 I am having quite a strange experience right now.
 If you read my older post, you'll know what I'm talking about- I told you a few things about those nightmares I have.

 Right now I'm hearing the same word said over and over again- "Lbrn".

 What the hell does that mean? Now I suppose(I hope) this is another lucid dream- So what I am about to do is get my pc mic and record this noise so you can hear it.

 Am I crazy? I know I'm really into this script but the sound is very, very clear. Please listen and tell me if it is just my imagination or not.

 I don't know what to make out of it- please turn your audio higher- if wearing headphones, it's even better. You can check- no popouts. I just need you to tell me wether it's my imagination or not.

Blog Day 1- Meet the director, working on the script.

 Hey there- I'm Omar Bryant, from Wellington, New Zealand. For the moment, me and my "professional cast" are here in Romania, where we are shooting what we hope to be our big breakthrough in cinema.

 Yep, and since we want to do it good, we decided to make a horror movie- not an ordinary one. What I want to achieve here is the most disturbing movie ever.

 This may sound a little too big for some indie starters, but hell- all is well when it ends well. So we started about a week ago- now I'm working on the script alone, it's kinda giving me the chills, really- I just hope writing here will take them away.

 I don't have much of an idea- just typing a few things I find creepy in a word document. I intend to have the script finished by 24th August, so I guess I'll just do an all-nighter.

  Here's a snapshot of what I've written so far.

 As much as I can tell- the movie will be a description of my nightmares that I take notice of. I have this nightmare journal.

 What's so funny about most of them is the characters seem to be repeated. I'm not kidding now- but it seems to be all about the same things:

 -2:01 in the morning, wake up because of a noise: Lbrn(there you go- that will explain the title)

 -for some reason I go to the bathroom, and there's this skinny, pale kid wearing nothing but a baseball cap.

 -then I just wake up.

 I have consulted a psychiatrist. No use much- guess I must have some obsession with all this stuff. Also, the kid looks a lot like me, but certainly doesn't act like me.

 I don't really care what I dream of- I recently started lucid dreaming so I can wake up whenever I want to.


 About the movie now- so far, so good- I have been making amateur films since 2009, meanwhile I learned quite a lot about marketing an indie film, festivals, bla bla stuff. Here is the plan on promoting this movie:

 -make it first
 -a few youtube clips
 -this blog
 -most important of all, my second public speech(more like a Q&A)
 -Amazon CreateSpace

 And hopefully, it will all work. What's kinda holding me back is school- cos I'm a middle school student. I really want to succeed with this so I can see the looks on those teacher's faces- "You go to school to succeed in life." I already made up an answer- "If you just went around the corner you'd have found the elevator"- HELL YEAH!!!!

 Of course, it will open a lot of doors for me and my crew- so let's get aboard the ship! If I make it big, then certainly you will be able to.

 Some things you might find useful about internet marketing- I already got scammed, so why should you?

 -don't promote your things on facebook, make a separate website- people on facebook are looking forward to getting known across the internet, not read your promo's.

 -twitter highly sucks- it will take you years to get as many followers as you like(unless you are already famous)

 -The Google Sniper thingy- it's a scam, doesn't work much.

 -Youtube is great- you have no idea!

 -don't make a commercial- write an article. Nobody wants annoying promotional videos- they want actual information





 I'd love to have this movie finished by Tuesday, so I'm gonna be making a daily update. Goodbye for now- see you on Friday.
